After a shortened event list for Christmas Club Night, we welcomed the chance to swim all four strokes in our first event of 2006.

We had the most swimmers participate to date. There was even a showing in the pool from fellow Club Committee members, Mick Bransby and Chad Schneider. From young to not so young, the racing was very intense. Some continued rivalries provided chances at personal bests while some new competition emerged between first time swimmers.

A bunch of best times were shown, and a few club records fell along the way as well.

The Green vs. Blue format was great again. With each team having its largest showing of the season, the 218 to 217 running score line looked to be significantly increased. Green held on to its one point lead and hoped to increase the advantage. Blue took to the water with some strong performances and was eager to take its first lead in the seasonal competition.

This was our first club night competing in 6 lanes. Scoring was, thus, changed from 4 points for a first place finish to 6 points.

This night saw the Blue Team narrowly outscore the Green; 279 to 277. So the Season Point score going into 16 February is 496 to the Blue Team and 495 for Green.
