What a Fantastic Day!!

This year’s rendition of the 1.6km swim at Avalon Beach was one of those events you end up remembering. I’m not sure if it was the flat conditions, the sparkling clear water, the nice rolling wave to catch into the beach, or the event organization that will stand out; but it was certainly one of the good ones on the seasonal calendar.

We had 11 participants take part with Chris Cole, Richard Banks, Phil Muscatello, Amanda Murray, Marg McDonald, Nick Nichles, Donna Williams, Clare Payne, Mick Bransby, Scott Beachley and Chad Schneider all having a go.

We had quite a few top-five placings with Margie, Donna, Clare, and Chad all putting in great swims. Special mention going to all swimmers for finishing in the top 50%, especially Chris Cole with his first top half finish of 39th percentile. Way to go!
