Penrith Rowing Regatta, Penrith

Josh and Chad made the return trip out of the big 'pool' in Penrith.  The man made rowing centre provided the venue for our third 5km swim in as many weeks.  Having swum the same course two weeks previously, the drama was set for some possible improvements (or disappointments).

Both swimmers chose to push the swim a bit harder this time looking for best times over the distance. Joshua, having turned in a time of 1 hour 20 min two weeks earlier, was eyeing that 1:15 mark.

Taking over 5 minutes off a personal best and turning in a 1 hour 14 min 51 sec, Josh powered home with a great effort.  A fourth place finish had us just miss the podium, however, no ribbon could replace the confidence boost of such an improvement.
